Work with us: Programme Manager role

The Rule Foundation is hiring a Programme Manager to manage its everyday operations and help advance its strategic objectives.

The Rule Foundation is one of the only philanthropic organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand focused on giving specifically to rainbow programmes and organisations. The Rule Foundation operates two funds: The Peter Rule Fund and the Rainbow Wellbeing Legacy Fund. In 2022, the Foundation passed a significant milestone: the cumulative disbursement of $1 million in support of Rainbow communities in Aotearoa since the Foundation was launched in 2007. Half of these disbursements have occurred in the last three years, evidencing the need to increase our internal capacity to sustain our growth.

Role details:

  • 20 hours per week

  • Fixed-term 12 month contract, commencing April if possible

  • $90,000 - $100,000 per annum pro rata

  • Independent contractor or secondment preferred

Ideal applicants should be able to work independently, develop and complete work plans, have strong relationship building skills and cultural competency and have a deep understanding of the current issues impacting rainbow communities in Aotearoa. Previous experience working in the philanthropic sector is desired, but not essential.
