The Rule Foundation is a charity that’s focused on advancing the health, wellbeing and visibility of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) people in New Zealand.
The Foundation has responsibility for managing a significant capital fund. Income from this fund is used to assist a range of volunteer-based GLBTI groups. Groups funded so far focus on counselling and information, aged care sector awareness, research, documentation of GLBTI history, community resource developments, and sports & arts activities. Applications for funds are received throughout the year and are assessed by the trustees.
IDEAL APPLICANT DESCRIPTION
The Foundation is seeking two additional trustees. To be appointed you will have a deep appreciation of contemporary GLBTI issues at a macro level, and also possibly understand more specific community issues. Experience as a trustee or in another governance role would be valuable, though not essential, rather we seek your enthusiasm and commitment. Your skillset will preferably complement the existing trustees.
Particular interest will be paid to candidates with backgrounds in marketing, finance, fundraising, health, social services or related fields.
This is your chance to join an active, pragmatic and forward-thinking charitable organisation making a valuable contribution to New Zealand.
